A-Class

Scarily fast as these boats are now foiling. Mark Bulka and Steve Brayshaw are World top ten competitors. There is also this Ashby bloke who has won 10 world championships in this class alone.

Taipan

A growing class at McCrae with Demon a previous National champion setting the pace.

Contender

This Ben Lexcon designed boat has a great following around the world. World and National champion Mark Bulka is the one to beat at McCrae.

B14

This 14 skiff is represented at the highest level at McCrae with a number of world champions hailing from McCrae. Guy Bancroft still sets a cracking pace.

Tasar

Sailed in over a dozen countries around the world, the Tasar is most popular with male/female crew combinations. McCrae has a long tradition of Tasar sailing.

Paper Tiger

Another Class that has produced high level racing this 14 catamaran is heavily supported at McCrae. National winners go back many years from a bunch of loyal McCrae sailors

RS Aero

This reasonable new lightweight (48kg rigged), 4 meter boat is starting to get traction @ McCrae and in Australia. Same boat three different rig sizes; RS Aero 5 for children and small sailors and has 54 sq ft (5.0 m2) of sail. RS Aero 7 -for medium weight sailors and has 77 sq ft (7.2 m2) of sail.
RS Aero 9 for heavy weight sailors and has 93 sq ft (8.6 m2) of sail.

Pacer

The Pacer is a 3.8m one design sloop rigged family dinghy, complete with spinnaker. Just like the training centre ones but you can have a spinnaker as well.

Windsurfer LT

The Windsurfer LT is a remake of the original Windsurfer One Design from the 80s, but faster, lighter and wider. From beginner to advanced, cruiser to racer, age 10 to 80+ and for all genders this class is a great fit for McCrae! Cheap, fun, quick to rig and easy to store. With over 20 boards at the club and more females than males, windsurfing is a fast growing class at McCrae for novices and social sailors.
