Race Management Refresher Course

The McCrae Yacht Club Race Officer Refresher Course provides current and prospective Race Officers with an opportunity to review race management procedures, safety responsibilities, and operational decision-making required to conduct safe, fair and efficient sailing events.

Delivered in person at McCrae Yacht Club, the course combines practical discussion, scenario-based learning and review of club-specific procedures. Participants will refresh their knowledge of sailing instructions, race organisation, competitor safety, rescue boat coordination, emergency response protocols, radio communications and race administration systems.

Pre-work Australian Sailing eLearning: 1. Race Officer- Introduction  2. Race Officer Committee & finish Boat  3. Race Officer Mark Layer and ideally 4. Scorer and Handicapper

9.30am to 3pm, with lunch provided.
